Regional Preliminary – Seattle

Rules and Regulations
REGIONAL PRELIMINARY: SATURDAY, JUNE 20 AT 6PM
Regional preliminary will take place at Pierce College Auditorium (1601 39th Ave SE, Puyallup, WA 98314). Please note that there will be a pre-screening round before the actual event and only those finalists will be competing on the above date.

PRIZE
Only one top performer from each category will receive $1,000 prize. Categories are Vocal and Performance (dance). All contestants are eligible to receive prizes (monetary or otherwise), HOWEVER, only those who meet all KBS qualifications, from these categories, will be entered into the second round online voting stage, along with other regional winners from around the world in hopes of becoming a finalist

ELIGIBILITY
Contest is open to all. PLEASE NOTE only qualified NON-Koreans will be eligible for the chance to fly to Korea if chosen as a finalist to compete at the 2015 K-POP World Festival in Changwon.
(Please be aware that winning a spot from competing at the regional preliminary contest does not guarantee entry into the K-POP World Festival. In case of a group, only three members will be provided with airfare and accommodations by KBS).

IMPORTANT NOTES
This contest is not to be confused with other audition programs. This contest serves a purpose to encourage the spread of K-Pop and the Korean culture. Winners are not auditioning to become a recording star or performer. This is a competition of skill and winners will be chosen accordingly.

Image Release, Agreement, and Waiver & Release of Liability

2015 K-POP World Festival Regional Preliminary – Seattle

I grant Radio Hankook NW, INC, co-hosting parties, affiliates, sponsors, advertising and promotional agencies (¡°Authorized Parties¡±) the right to photograph and videotape me, or my child (¡°Participant¡±), at above-identified activity (¡°Activity¡±) and the right to use, copyright, and publish these images and recording and any reproduction thereof (¡°Material¡±) for any lawful use and for the purpose of publication, publicity, advertising, or trade, in any manner or in any medium. I acknowledge I am not, and will not, be receiving compensation by the Authorized Parties for this use of the Material.

In consideration for being permitted to engage in the Activity, I release and forever discharge the Authorized Parties from any and all claims, demands, causes of actions, suits, damages, costs and expenses (including, without limitation, attorneys¡¯ fees and court costs) for any and all personal injuries to any Participant named below, including any damage or loss of any property occurring in connection with the Activity (¡°Claims¡±).

I further: i) agree to abide by, and comply with, all Activity rules ii) acknowledge that the Activity times may change without prior notice; and iii) agree that each person named below will immediately cease participation in the Activity if requested to do so.

I forever release and discharge the Authorized Parties from any and all Claims, actions and demands arising out of or in connection with my participation, or my child¡¯s participation. I recognize and acknowledge that participation in the Activity or related rehearsals, is at my own risk and I understand that this waiver and release of liability is absolute as to any Claim which may arise as a result of participation.

I HAVE READ AND FULLY UNDERSTAND THIS document, INCLUDING THE FACT THAT I AM RELEASING AND WAIVING CERTAIN POTENTIAL RIGHTS.
